Dan H Williams FRCS

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon



Dan H Williams is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a specialist in primary hip and knee replacements, as well as revisions.

Dan is a highly experienced surgeon, qualifying from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1998. He trained in Wales, Australia and South Africa before becoming a registrar in the South West of England.

He completed advanced training in emergency operations and complex joint replacements in Seattle, Oxford and Vancouver.

Dan is a practicing consultant at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust and Duchy Hospital in Truro.

He has carried out over 1,750 joint replacements throughout his career. This number includes more than 400 revisions, where an existing replacement that has worn out is repaired.

Dan uses about half of his time on planned, routine surgery. He spends the other half as a trauma surgeon, leading emergency operations due to serious accidents like car crashes.
